This promo was created for Turner South, a regional entertainment network focused on the Southeastern United States. This promo was part of Turner South's new "My South" image campaign. The purpose was to promote interest in this new network by appealing to Southerners' sense of pride in their region and its many accomplishments. I thought the perfect subject matter to accomplish this was the aerospace industry which is primarily located within the Southern states. Many aerospace firsts occurred in the South including the first powered flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina and the first space flight from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
After presenting a storyboard of my concept to Turner South, I was given the greenlight to go ahead with the project. I created multiple versions of this promo in order to give the client a broader range of options from which to choose.
